If you're interested in one of my paintings but don't have the money for it right now, you can also choose lay-away* where you make four payments over a two month period and once the final payment's made I will get the painting shipped out to you and there's no interest charges with my lay-away plan! In this intricately created Mjoelnir knot painting I have added Thor's image at the top in several shades of red as well as his eye color being red, as he is classically shown in mythology. I've added runes around him to create power. Within the hammer, I have oak leaves and waves which represent aspects of Thor. Thor wasn't just a warrior deity but also a weather and agricultural deity. In the lower part of the hammer, I have painted two Celtic knot dolphins along with wavy spirals- again showing Thor's connection with storms and water as well as acorns that connect with his agricultural aspects. On either side of the hammer, I have created Celtic ravens which connect with Thor's father, Odin. This represents their connection in all things. Of course, the background is again, in red, and abounding with vivid flashes of crackling lightning- again an aspect of Thor's stormy potential and in the center of the hammer's lower portion is a Celtic knotted warrior complete with Viking era helmet and once again, Thor's vivid red beard and facial features!
