Available Paintings

First let me say that ordering directly from me is only applicable if you live in the continental USA; unfortunately for anyone outside of the continental United States, the shipping prices are calculated differently and so it would be easier if you purchased my art through my online art gallery who are in a better position to give you the accurate shipping charges.

Below you'll find my ancient building paintings with complete details about the material they're painted on, their frame and matting information as well as the price of course. These prices are specifically for the framed paintings and unframed paintings in the sizes shown below; if you wish to have the painting with a different frame, matting or size or if you live outside of the continental United States please make your purchase through my gallery directly by clicking on the image of the painting you want on the previous ancient building paintings page where you can choose your own frame, matting & size to suit your tastes. If you're interested in one of my paintings but don't have the money for it right now, you can also choose lay-away* where you make four payments over a two month period and once the final payment's made I will get the painting shipped out to you and there's no interest charges with my lay-away plan! If this sounds something you'd be able to take advantage of, be sure to contact me and I'll give you the payment details.

Don't forget, art makes a fantastic gift for any occasion and shows you really thought about the person and wanted to get something they'd love.  Your purchase is completely secure and the gallery & myself will see to it that you're completely satisfied with your art purchase.  If you have any questions about any of my paintings or if you need commission work done, don't hesitate to contact me.  As soon as I receive your email I'll be more than happy to answer any questions you have to the best of my ability and if you're wanting to speak with me on the telephone I'll gladly provide you with my number at that point.

Lighthouse of Alexandria painting

"Lighthouse of Alexandria" is without a doubt my most favorite piece that is based on an actual building rather than mythology or a religious temple. Let me give you a little bit of history on the Lighthouse of Alexandria.

The Lighthouse of Alexandria is one of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World; it's also the most recent to have been built, having been built during the reign of Ptolemy I of Egypt. The lighthouse was commissioned in 290 B.C. and completed about 20 years later due to its complexity. It was so well built that it was still standing in the early 14th century until a series of earthquakes demolished it and sent it into the adjoining sea.

This is my rendition of it; originally it had a statue of Poseidon on the top since it was built during the rule of a Ptolemy who was Greek but I think the Egyptians would have preferred something more along their own beliefs which is why I changed it to an Ankh.

Lighthouse of Alexandria is 20 x 16 inches; this painting is painted on heavy, acid free, textured paper with a radiant white surface. 100% cotton rag, 19 mil thickness. The price on this piece unframed is $100 which includes free shipping in the continental USA.

Lighthouse of Alexandria burning brightly at night painting

I loved creating this beautiful lighthouse so much I decided to create another version of it to show it's beauty at night. This is my rendition of it; originally it had a statue of Poseidon on the top since it was built during the rule of a Ptolemy who was Greek but I think the Egyptians would have preferred something more along their own beliefs which is why I changed it to an Ankh. This version shows how they kept a bright fire lit for the night so that incoming ships could follow this beacon of light.

Lighthouse of Alexandria Burning Brightly is 20 x 16 inches; this painting is painted on heavy, acid free, textured paper with a radiant white surface. 100% cotton rag, 19 mil thickness. The price on this piece unframed is $100 which includes free shipping in the continental USA.

Istar Gate painting

The Ishtar Gate- was considered one of the original 7 wonders of the World; it was constructed around 575 BCE by order of King Nebuchadnezzar II on the north side of the city of Babylon; it's actually one of 8 gateways built. The Gate was constructed of blue glazed tiles with alternating rows of bas-relief dragons & aurochs(an extinct species of oxen). Through the gateway ran the Processional Way which was lined with walls covered in lions on glazed bricks. This wonderful piece of ingenuity was standing til the 6th century AD when it was replaced with the Lighthouse of Alexandria. Can you imagine what it must have felt like to stand at the doorway to this magnificent city? I would think it'd have been incredibly awe-inspiring & now you can bring a little bit of this home with this beautiful Ishtar Gate painting.

Ishtar Gate is 20 x 23 5/8 inches; this painting is painted on heavy, acid free, textured paper with a radiant white surface. 100% cotton rag, 19 mil thickness. The price on this piece unframed is $100 which includes free shipping in the continental USA.

Stonehenge painting

Stonehenge has fascinated people probably since it was first built. Many wonder what its original purpose was. Was it an astrological calendar? Was it a location to practice rituals related to old beliefs? No one can say for sure what its original purpose was but that doesn't take away from the beauty of this sacred place. Bring a bit of Stonehenge to your home with this beautiful painting featuring my rendition of what Stonehenge may have looked like originally set amongst a wonderful grass setting.

"Mysterious Stonehenge" is 16 x 20 inches; this painting is painted on heavy, acid free, textured paper with a radiant white surface. 100% cotton rag, 19 mil thickness. The price on this piece unframed is $125 which includes free shipping in the continental USA.
